WHO COULD ASK FOR ANYTHING MORE?
Just a brief update on the state of the nation, as Referendum Day, aka Election Day, approaches:
The median price of a new home dropped last month by nearly 10%, the largest dip since 1970.Unless you're a CEO, a real estate agent who specializes in selling, a business owner who prefers to pay $1.25/hour only to Americans, or a government-contracted fence & coffin maker, there's really not much of a choice next month, is there?
96 American troops have died in Iraq so far this month, the largest death toll in a year.
But it's all cool! Stay the course! Exxon-Mobil posted a $10.4 billion profit in the third quarter! And Bush signed a bill authorizing a 700 mile fence along the border with Mexico! Everything's gonna be great! Rich oil men, no more Mexicans, what else could an American want?

Finally.
This wasn't enough for you?
Tough crowd.
Kind of amazing how the poll numbers two weeks prior to the mid-terms have pried open the Reality Window on Iraq when all the casualty figures have failed to do so.
I hate to say I can’t think of a Democrat in the House or Senate that actually deserves to keep his job, but if the Republicans get kicked out of the majority in both, I may miss work Wednesday with a hangover. Oops, one exception: Arlen Specter, who doesn’t run this year; by today’s standards, a truly courageous man.

That's a pretty neat distillation of how I feel about it. The Dems are flawed at so many levels, but the gang in power right now is so disastrous, so depraved in some respects, they have to go.
