I AM THE DISSEMBLER AND I DISSEMBLE BEST
One day after "Sneering" Dick Cheney glibly declared that the decision to treat a suspect to a little "dunk in water" is "a no-brainer," both President Bush and Tony Snow(job) insisted that Dick Cheney did not endorse waterboarding or torture.
One Day Later.
I believe Tony's fictional predecessor told the citizens of Oceania something along the lines of "we're at war with East Asia and allied with Eurasia, we've always been at war with East Asia and allied with Eurasia," mere days before declaring that "we're at war with Eurasia and allied with East Asia, we've always been at war with Eurasia and allied with East Asia."
At this point, how far are we from George Bush saying that 2+2=5, one hour before Dick Cheney explains that 2+2 is actually 3, with Snow declaring the following day that 2+2 has always equaled six, and that both the President and Vice President said as much the day before?
The United States has always resembled the Soviet Union and Red China. We've never had a Constitution or . . .

What Snow should've said is that Cheney intentionally didn't take his meds yesterday, so anything he said was totally fake.
Damn, that's a good one!
Thrill, that's so cold I just felt like someone walked over my grave and opened the window simultaneously.
Or maybe I just envisioned Dick Cheney's smirking face, not sure which.
Always good to see 'clear-headed certainty' at the helm of government, eh?
Even Orwell couldn't have dreamed up such completely insane dialog.
I'm with Andrew Sullivan, when he suggests (no, tells) his fellow 'conservatives,' "Vote Democratic, or stay home."
We can only hope, we can only hope . . .
Indeed.
How about when Snow said, "We could only find 8 instances of when the President said 'stay the course'...." and Countdown, among other came up with 30.
And weren't the "eight" instances an expansion from the initial "none"?
When it comes to The Truth, the Administration, like the VP during Vietnam, has other priorities.
The SO has observed how listening to Bush is like reading _1984_: No Child Left Behind is really All Children Left Behind; Homeland Security is Homeland Insecurity; the Patriot Act is the Neocon Fascist Act; Bushbrat saying he's for peace means he's for endless war; and so on. Whatever Bushbrat & Co. say, think exact opposite.
