MY PROUDEST DAY
Seems that Mike's Neighborhood is banned in China.
Excellent. Although I have a sneaking suspicion that just about any blog containing the words "United States," "Democracy," or "Human Rights" is banned over there. Not to mention other words like "the," "and" or "but."
But hey, take the test yourself and see if your blog is banned!
More interesting will be the discovery that one of us has his or her blog banned in the good ole USA.

It's because you use Blogger. That whole program/system is blocked over there.
I have a friend and fellow blogger in Shanghai, and I was frustrated, when I used Blogger, that she could never visit my site. If fact, it's part of why I switched.
I'm on wordpress now, and my friend in China reads it.
That link says I'm banned, but I know I'm getting the goods over to the Big Red!
If you've got any urgent messages you need to share with China, I'll see if I can help out.
No! I'm banned because of the trenchant content of my commentary. Right?
Right?

Yup. They don't do trenchant over there.

Sad if you think about it. You can't control information that way. It'll never work.
Congrats on your banishment. You're moving up in the world.
Next stop, the U.S.
As Dwilkers alluded to, it's a matter of when trechantism is declared illegal in the US.
Bush claims he'll veto any bill that ignores the problems of terrorism and trechantism.
I'm not banned, which probably just means all my bad puns don't translate, so they have no idea how subversive I'm really being.
Plus, no one gives a damn about Wendy McCaw and the Santa Barbara News-Press in China.
I'm not banned either, and I use Blogger. For whatever that's worth...
banned. blocked. proud of it.
Yahoo!!! I'm blocked too!!! No beer for the reds!!!
George & Furious - My condolences.
Minstrel & Smitty -- Congrats. Must be the food/beer stuff.
I'm not banned. So they get some beer reviews, my anti-China rantings, and my musings on climate change, the economy, and songs about smurfs. And maybe someday I'll actually have time to blog again. Back to work.
Back to work.
The novel?
I'm not banned. But only because I haven't popped up on their radar. Congrats Mike! This is a proud day. The question is when will you be banned in the U.S.A.?

A few more cheap ass-shots, and the day could be just a round the corner. I'll do what I can.
Not banned yet.
But perhaps a blog has to be accessed before their system surfs it?
I just figured out why there's a firewall at all:
Although most pornographic films and photographs available on the Internet are produced in the U.S., the Chinese were the biggest buyers, spending $27.4 billion last year.
The novel?
Nah. The novel's been done for over a year. I'm still trying to convince an agent to read/represent it. No, I had other projects going on that day.
