As the proud father of Earth's best toddler (and wonderful infant twins), stories like this make me cringe.
Sure, Smitty Jr. has his days where by GOD it's all you can take to not smack him...but I can barely stomach stories where toddlers are being beaten to death like that.
My brain puts my kid's face there, and it nearly makes me sick. How can anyone want to hurt someone so precious?
Shot the guy to death? That was too nice. That's one of those punishment-fits-the-crime things.

I cannot understand how this guy could not be stopped with so many people there. I can understand that the elderly couple couldn't stop him, but 2 or three cars worth? Why did it take a cop to stop him?
That is just plain sick. I also wonder why no one could have stopped him.
I'm with Bob here. Hard to understand how people could watch someone murder a child and not even try to stop him.
But I wasn't there, so what do I know?
